Vascular Dementia
Caused by reduced blood flow to the brain. Problems with planning, slowed thinking, mood changes. Progression may be step-wise with periods of stability.
Lewy Body Dementia
Fluctuating cognition, visual hallucinations, movement problems and sleep disturbances. Tends to progress faster than Alzheimer's.
Frontotemporal Dementia
Affects personality and behaviour, language difficulties. Memory often less affected initially. Tends to affect younger people (45-65).
